In the first case, the gradient magnetic field in a magnetic field source–superconductor system is induced by a magnetic line (set) consisting of NdFeB permanent magnets. In the second case, the magnetic line is a set of high-temperature superconductor ribbons magnetized by an external field and acting as a gradient field source. The calculation has shown that, at liquid nitrogen temperature, the HTS ribbon stack-based magnetic lines are inferior in efficiency to the sets of permanent magnets with magnetic line periods of up to 38 mm. At a larger period, the HTS ribbon stack-based magnetic lines are more efficient. In addition, it is shown that the efficiency of the HTS ribbon stack-based magnetic lines sharply increases with a decrease in temperature.
