Editing the blockchain when using the additional chain looks like this: BlockNRedaction “virtually” replaces BlockKMain. Such a replacement is carried out by including information about BlockKMain in BlockNRedaction, as well as about BlockK-1Main and BlockK+1Main. However, chameleon hash function usage changes the situation radically. The chameleon hash function has a number of properties that must be taken into account when designing a redactable blockchain. The paper discusses the issues of editing a private blockchain based on a chameleon hash function.
