© 2020, Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.The critical lengths for filaments of Taparan, Kevlar 129, and copolymeric para-aramid fibers are given. It is shown that the critical length changes and the ultimate strength increases by 16.45% when finished fiber is exposed to a weak electromagnetic field.
