dc.description.abstract© 2021 IEEE.The article is devoted to the problem of increasing the efficiency of the IT-department. The authors propose using a mathematical model for obtaining a consolidated assessment of employees. Evaluation is formed according to criteria that take into account the IT department specifics. The developed specialized criteria for evaluation are presented in detail. Individual grading scales are proposed for each selected criterion. The methodology which is used to assess the IT department employee effectiveness can also be used as a tool for training future specialists. Since the criteria were formed on the example of a real operating organization with its actual structure of work and the requirements of the IT department, even at the stage of obtaining higher professional education, it is possible to conduct preliminary training of students based on given and alternative examples focused on the real needs of organizations. Knowledge of the criteria, rating scales, and their importance for the enterprise will help future specialists integrate quickly into organisations' work processes.
