The work presented treats hematologic assays as complementary procedures to aid in the determination of fish health. Changes in the carp blood, occurring in two diseases: branchionecrosis and bothriocephalosis (a disease induced by a cestode, Bothriocephalus acheilognathi), are described and treated statistically.
