This paper discusses necessary changes to the computer science curriculum at universities for the future. The alterations are grouped into the following five areas: content and body of knowledge, pedagogy, audience, training-on-the-job, and professional skills. The paper argues that extending the scope of knowledge beyond the narrow borders of primary computer science topics (breadth in computer science) will lay a solid foundation for building the necessary skills for the future work force.
