Feeding character of the 0+ age Coregonidae, in cages, depends on the quantitative and qualitative composition of organisms during spring and autumn planktonic growth peaks. Planktonic growth peak in spring supports energetic needs of fish larvae and with light applied to concentrate plankton, enables to get a large amount of stocking material. An autumn one seems to be insufficient for covering the Coregonidae fry energetic needs. The character of Coregonus lavaretus L. and Coregonus peled Gmel. larvae and fry feeding is discussed, including differences in natural environment as well as changes during successive seasons of growth.
