dc.description.abstract© 2021 National Research Center Kurchatov Institute. All rights reserved.The technique of neutron calculations for diagnostic equipment of the ITER fusion reactor is considered. The important role of these calculations in the design of systems used in environments with radiation exposure is noted. Presented the process of development of diagnostic equipment and modeling of neutron-physical characteristics for the installation of radiation in the form of thermonuclear plasma. The modern software used to determine the neutron parameters of various installations, including for ITER. Particular attention paid to the definition of the concept of statistical calculation error and ways to reduce the calculated values. The results of the computational modeling of gamma-neutron fields, radiation energy release and DPA presented in the area of the diagnostic system of spectroscopy of hydrogen lines (H-alpha) located in the equatorial port No. 11 of ITER.
