dc.description.abstractThe work shows the principal possibility laser welding borosilicate glass using by IPG Photonics femtosecond fiber lasers. The main physical mechanisms of laser glass welding are considered. It is shown that laser welding of glass or transparent dielectrics is based on the mechanisms of nonlinear absorption high-intensity laser radiation. The main technological features of the process laser welding of borosilicate glass are demonstrated. Shear lap tests of the obtained welds were carried out, the load was over 100 MPas. © 2022 IEEE.
