dc.description.abstract© 2020 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.Currently, several dozens of different types of scintillation crystals are known. Scintillation crystals are successfully used in nuclear medicine. When spectra of ionizing radiation are measured, one of the important problems is to ensure proportionality between the amplitude of a pulse at the output of the recording system and the energy of recorded particles. Investigation results of the dependence of the specific light yield on the energy of X-rays and γ-quanta in a range of 1.5-662 keV for NaI(Tl), CsI(Na), CsI(Tl), Bi4Ge3O12, CdWO4, ZnWO4, Y3Al5O12:Ce, CaF2(Eu), LSO, YAlO3:Ce scintillation crystals are presented. The obtained dependences are nonlinear with pronounced minima in a range of K- A nd L-absorption edges of scintillator-forming elements.
