dc.description.abstract© 2020, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.Abstract: The residual strength of 12Cr18Ni9Ti corrosion-resistant steel is determined in the initial state and after operation as the material of a vacuum chamber body. Specimens are subjected to preliminary cyclic loading and then subjected to tensile tests to estimate the characteristics of acoustic emission and residual strength. The stages in the change of the acoustic characteristics during the fracture of preliminary cycled specimens are studied. A correlation between the residual strength and the damage estimated from the of acoustic emission characteristics is found.
