dc.description.abstractCurrent-assisted sintering of combustion-synthesized -Si5AlON7, h-BN, and TiN powders was explored in comparison with conventional sintering. High relative density of product (above 92%) was achieved by using high-voltage electric discharge consolidation (HVEDC) and spark plasma sintering (SPS). Better results were obtained in case of SPS processing.
