Successful business, continuous expansion and development of the enterprise is a long and systematic work that requires close attention to details, a comprehensive assessment of all possible risks, as well as a well built and thought-out strategy. The relevance of the work lies in the fact that at the moment changes are taking place rapidly, economic realities dictate their conditions. Enterprises facing serious sanctions pressure, which entails losses of suppliers and buyers, price changes, reduced production and sales, need competent and timely management decisions on the part of management and owners. The issue of implementing the strategy built by companies is particularly acute, and strategic risks deserve close attention more than ever. The oil and gas industry, in turn, is at great risk due to the fact that the unstable situation today does not allow making accurate forecasts of market development, and strong price volatility only complicates the situation. In addition, oil and gas companies are forced to adapt to new conditions, rebuilding or even completely changing the vector of their own built strategy. The purpose of the work is to substantiate the strategy, assess and analyze the strategic risks of an oil and gas industry enterprise, as well as develop recommendations for their management. The subject of the study is the analysis of the economic activity of JSC NOVATEK. The object of the study is JSC NOVATEK. Tasks that need to be performed to achieve this goal: to study the theoretical aspects of strategic analysis; to give a comprehensive description of the company; to study the company's strategy; using the basic methods of strategic analysis, to get an idea of the industry and the company's position in it, to identify competitive advantages and weaknesses; to analyze and evaluate long-term solutions of the company; to justify the strategy, determine its type; use financial modeling, develop forecasts for the next 5 years; to assess the fundamental value of the company; to summarize the conducted research, giving possible recommendations on strategic risk management.
