    © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.The paper presents a method of implementation of fast Fourier transform in real-time data processing and measurement systems. The method is based on software and hardware package «UMIKON», supporting input-output drivers. Classic Cooley and Tukey algorithm apply to real-time data vector, which formed by successive shift after every clock cycle time. This approach to data processing in real-time allows reaching high access time in information measurement systems when analyzing dynamic processes.

    Studying the Effect of Meteorological Parameters on the Concentration of Thermal Neutrons, Based on Data from the NEUTRON Setup

    © 2021, Allerton Press, Inc.Abstract: The effect meteorological parameters have on the concentration of thermal neutrons is studied using data from the NEUTRON setup in the period May 2015 to February 2019. Daily and seasonal variations in the neutron count rate are obtained. Such variations are associated with changes in temperature. The effect the depth of the snow cover has on the neutron count rate for four winter periods is estimated. It is shown that meteorological parameters have a considerable impact on the concentration of neutrons near the surface. The total contribution from pressure, temperature, and the depth of the snow cover can be more than 30%.

    © 2021, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.Abstract: The paper presents a comparison of three neutrons identifying methods in scintillators based on ZnS with 6Li and 10B: charge integration method, pulse gradient analysis, and simplified digital charge collection. A quality factor is used for comparison. It is calculated by the distribution of distances from the event position to the discrimination curve. It is shown that the charge integration method is observed to provide the best discrimination performance in this research.
