Since 2014 NRNU MEPhI has been training graduates for responsibility centers of the project direction "Proryv". University responds quickly to staffing challenges, and provides the project "Proryv"the personnel with relevant unique competencies. These competencies include the ability to apply the knowledge gained to develop a new technological platform for nuclear power with the involvement of uranium-238 and spent nuclear fuel reprocessing products in the fuel cycle. Obtaining such unique knowledge is impossible without the use of external resources, namely, the involvement of leading scientists and practitioners of ROSATOM for conducting classes with students, organizing practices in scientific centers and at nuclear fuel cycle enterprises. The article discusses the features of the organization of the educational process in this area.

A.; Лаврухин, Алексей Анатольевич© Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.This article presents the results of studying the uranium mineralization of various parts of the Tin-Seririne sedimentary basin located in the southern part of the Hoggar massif in south-eastern Algeria. Mineralization of uranium is localized at different stratigraphic levels: in altered rocks of the Archean basement and unconformity overlying basal conglomerates (Tahaggart region), and in Devonian sandstones (uranium ore occurrences Tamart-N-Iblis, Timouzaline, etc.). For laboratory studies, 07 samples were taken: As and A1 granites, Tedjart, Timouzaline and Tamart-N-Iblis sandstones, gneisses and conglomerates of the Tahaggart deposit. The samples were examined using gamma spectrometric, chemical and microprobe analyzes. Mineralization is represented by minerals of hexavalent uranium: autunite, torbernite, carnotite, vanuralite and uranophane. The hypergenesis zone of the deposit, it is noted that the geochemical features of the formation of uranium mineralization are typical for regions of arid climate. The arid climate corresponds to oxidative processes of chemical weathering, with weakly alkaline or neutral uranium-bearing solutions. When studying samples taken from different stratigraphic levels, a difference in mineral composition was noted, which indicates some differences in the conditions of formation of uranium mineralization.

All rights reserved.The educational program "Nuclear power technologies of new generation" was created at the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI with the goal of selecting talented youth and organizing targeted training for specialists for Rosatom's strategic project "Proryv". The "Proryv" project is dedicated to the development of technologies for the transition to a two-component structure of nuclear energy based on thermal and fast reactors with a closed nuclear fuel cycle. The article discusses the experience of implementing this training program at the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, educational technologies, and statistics on student enrollment and graduation. The possibility of extending existing experience to other universities implementing similar training profiles is also shown.

V.; Делов, Максим Игоревич; Кузьменков, Дмитрий Михайлович; Лаврухин, Алексей Анатольевич; Куценко, Кирилл Владленович© 2020It is known that the nucleate boiling of different refrigerants (liquid nitrogen, freons etc.) may drop to the film boiling regime at a heat flux, which is significantly lower than the value from the standard boiling curve. This happens during unsteady heating at a minimum critical heat flux, whose value depends on different parameters of the process: heater geometry, pressure, subcooling relative to saturation, fluid type, initial conditions etc. In this article, we present new experimental results on the influence of the size of the heater and the heating rate on the minimum critical heat flux. The experiments are accompanied by numerical simulations and a theoretical analysis, where we demonstrate how the minimum critical heat flux is computed for a given case. In addition, we demonstrate that the minimum critical heat flux does not depend on the size of the heater at atmospheric pressure when the size of the heater is larger than 1 mm. This parameter is also independent of the temporal history of heat supply. The derived theoretical approach finds applications in the design of the systems based on high-temperature superconductors.

Developing several methods of treatment for the temperature fluctuations, we succeed in the diagnosing the onset of transient boiling regimes. The proposed methods are based on the statistical analysis of histograms and amplitude-frequency analysis of the spectra of temperature fluctuations. In addition, the study demonstrates and compares how these techniques may be utilized to predict the transitions from the convective heat transfer to the nucleate boiling and the film boiling regimes.

It is known that the surface temperature of a heating element always has stochastic oscillations around an average value, the analysis of such fluctuations will make it possible to predict the change in the heat transfer regimes. This paper presents the results of an experimental study of temperature fluctuations for an inertial heater and using of method of diagnostic are based on statistical and frequency analysis of temperature fluctuations. It is shown that there is a correlation between the frequency characteristics of heater temperature fluctuations and oscillations in the thermohydraulic parameters of the coolant (temperature, flow, pressure). The obtained results will find application in the development of an automated system for diagnostics the coolant boiling onset in power facilities.
