(2019) Prosin, V.; Astapov, I.; Bezyazeekov, P.; Borodin, A.; Kindin, V.; Kokoulin, R.; Kompaniets, K.; Petrukhin, A.; Yashin, I.; Астапов, Иван Иванович; Киндин, Виктор Владимирович; Кокоулин, Ростислав Павлович; Компаниец, Константин Георгиевич; Петрухин, Анатолий Афанасьевич; Яшин, Игорь Иванович
The extensive air shower Cherenkov light array Tunka-133 collected data during 7 winter seasons from 2009 to 2017. From 2175 hours of data taking, we derived the differential energy spectrum of cosmic rays in the energy range 6 center dot 10(15) - 2 center dot 10(18) eV. The TAIGA-HiSCORE array is in the process of continuous expansion and modernization. Here we present the results obtained with 28 stations of the first HiSCORE stage from 35 clear moonless nights in the winter of 2017-2018. The combined spectrum of two arrays covers a range of 2 center dot 10(14) - 2 center dot 10(18) eV.

© Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. In TAIGA Observatory (Tunka Advanced Instrument for cosmic ray physics and Gamma-ray Astronomy) we are commissioning the first Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescope (IACT). The telescope has an alt-azimuth mount and 17-bit shaft encoder for each axis, stepper motors are used for axis control. For the pointing calibration of the telescope a CCD-camera is installed on the dish of the telescope and its position allows to capture simultaneously both the Cherenkov camera with LEDs and the sky with observed source. Since October 2017, the telescope has been operating in tracking mode. In this work the TAIGAIACT telescope pointing calibration approach and first results of the tracking operations are described.

The hybrid installation TAIGA: Design, status and preliminary results
(2019) Lubsandorzhiev, N.; Bezyazeekov, P.; Borodin, A.; Brueckner, M.; Astapov, I.; Kindin, V.; Kokoulin, R.; Kompaniets, K.; Petrukhin, A.; Yashin, I.; Астапов, Иван Иванович; Киндин, Виктор Владимирович; Кокоулин, Ростислав Павлович; Компаниец, Константин Георгиевич; Петрухин, Анатолий Афанасьевич; Яшин, Игорь Иванович
© Copyright owned by the author(s) under the terms of the Creative CommonsThe hybrid installation TAIGA (Tunka Advanced Instrument for cosmic rays and Gamma Astronomy) is under construction to study cosmic and gamma rays at energies 1013-1018 eV. It will incorporate timing wide-angle EAS Cherenkov array (TAIGA-HiSCORE) and number of imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes (TAIGA-IACT). The first stage of TAIGA will include ~100 wide-angle non-imaging optical stations of TAIGA-HiSCORE, distributed over an area of ~1 km2 and three imaging telescopes at a distance of 300-500 m from each other. A combined method will be used to distinguish gamma-rays namely EAS parameters will be reconstructed by TAIGA-HiSCORE and a gamma-hadron separation will be carried out by TAIGA-IACT. With such an approach a hybrid detector will be built with a large area but with a relatively small number of telescopes.

In this talk, we describe the status and the perspectives of the hybrid Air Shower Array TAIGA (Tunka Advanced Instrument for cosmic rays and Gamma Astronomy) which is currently under construction in the Tunka Valley close to Lake Baikal and is taking data in its initial configurations. TAIGA is designed for the study of gamma rays and charged cosmic rays in the energy range of 10(13) eV- 10(18) eV. It has the potential to play an important role in the search for Galactic Pevatrons and within a multi-messenger approach to explore the high-energy sky.

The current prototype phase comprises three IACTs. The first IACT was fabricated at JINR, Dubna, and started its first commissioning season in the Tunka valley in 2017. The second one has been assembled there in fall 2018, the third structure one is ready for installation in autumn 2019. This report presents the main TAIGA IACT characteristics and results from pointing performance studies in the last 2 seasons. We also describe R&D activities started to fabricate focusing glass mirrors at JINR, and give results for the first prototypes measurements.

The hardware function of the URAGAN muon hodoscope
(2019) Peregoudov, D.; Gvishiani, A.; Getmanov, V.; Dobrovolsky, M.; Astapov, I.; Barbashina, N.; Dmitrieva, A.; Shutenko, V. V.; Yashin, I.; Астапов, Иван Иванович; Барбашина, Наталья Сергеевна; Дмитриева, Анна Николаевна; Шутенко, Виктор Викторович; Яшин, Игорь Иванович
© Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. The problem of the hardware response function calculation for the URAGAN hodoscope (MEPhI) is analyzed. The simpli ed hodoscope model is developed for which the response function is found out analytically. It is shown that the presence of non-detecting intervals (gaps between detectors) leads to the response function that includes azimuthal dependence. A numerical procedure of the response function calculation is developed for the URAGAN hodoscope. The result is in correlation with the averaged matrix data from the hodoscope. The application of response function analyses to detecting of reduced muon ux areas is demonstrated. Further re nement of response function calculation is discussed.
