dc.description.abstract© 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.The system of coupled generalized nonlinear Schrödinger equations describing the propagation of pulses in a birefringent fiber is considered. Using the traveling wave reduction of the system constraints on the model parameters are found, which are the compatibility conditions for the system. Under the found constraints on the parameters, solutions of the system in the form of periodic and solitary waves are obtained.
