Keywords: forestry industry, prospects for the development of forestry, sustainable development, JSC "Segezha Group". The object of research is the forestry industry in Russia. The subject of research is the financial condition and prospects for the development of the forestry industry in Russia and JSC "Segezha Group". The graduation thesis comprises an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion, a bibliography, and appendices. The introduction emphasizes the relevance of the research in the selected area, delineates the goal and objectives of the study, identifies the object and subject of research, outlines the methodological basis of the study, and its theoretical and practical significance. The first chapter presents a theoretical justification for the evaluation of the financial condition of the enterprise, details instruments for strategic analysis, and showcases tools and methods for forecasting key performance indicators of the economic entity. The second chapter provides a characteristic of JSC "Segezha Group", an analysis of the financial stability and effectiveness of the company's operations was executed. In the third chapter, an analysis of the Russian forestry market was undertaken, the prospects for its development were evaluated, and forecasts for this market and JSC "Segezha Group" in particular were created. The conclusion is dedicated to summarizing the outcomes of the conducted studies on the evaluation of the financial condition of JSC "Segezha Group" and the prospects for the development of the forestry industry in Russia. The volume of the graduation thesis is 78 pages, on which 9 figures and 35 tables are placed. 40 sources were used in the writing of the graduation thesis.
