D.; Кузьменкова, Полина Сергеевна; Громушкин, Дмитрий Михайлович; Шульженко, Иван Андреевич© 2021, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.Abstract: The paper presents a comparison of three neutrons identifying methods in scintillators based on ZnS with 6Li and 10B: charge integration method, pulse gradient analysis, and simplified digital charge collection. A quality factor is used for comparison. It is calculated by the distribution of distances from the event position to the discrimination curve. It is shown that the charge integration method is observed to provide the best discrimination performance in this research.

It includes several facilities for studying the electron–photon, muon, and hadron components of the EAS in the energy range of 1 PeV to 1 EeV. This work presents the first results for two months of the joint operation of five facilities (NEVOD-EAS, CWD, CTS, PRISMA-32, and DECOR). The problems of synchronizing the facilities and selecting joint events are considered. The experimental data of these facilities are analyzed for different components of the EAS in overlapping energy ranges.

I.; Barbashina, N. S.; Bogdanov, F. A.; Dmitrieva, A. N.; Gromushkin, D. M.; Izhbulyakova, Z. T.; Kovylyaeva, A. A.; Mishutina, Y. N.; Астапов, Иван Иванович; Барбашина, Наталья Сергеевна; Дмитриева, Анна Николаевна; Громушкин, Дмитрий Михайлович; Мишутина, Юлия Николаевна© Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.The experimental data on thermal neutron flux registered by the "Neutron"setup (MEPhI, Moscow) on the Earth's surface for the period from May 2015 to February 2019 were analyzed. The effects of Forbush decrease (FD) and the lunar cycles were studied. The comparison with the results of FD studies in data of two other setups: The Moscow neutron monitor (MNM) and the muon hodoscope URAGAN (MEPhI, Moscow) was made. Comparison showed that the FD amplitudes of "Neutron"are comparable with those of MNM (on average, less by about 30%), and about 1.5 times more than for MH URAGAN. The counting rate recovery of "Neutron"detectors is much faster than for MNM and MH URAGAN.
- ПубликацияТолько метаданныеModeling PRISMA-32 and URAN Responses to the Passage of Extensive Air Showers(2021) Izhbulyakova, Z. T.; Bogdanov, A. G.; Bogdanov, F. A.; Gromushkin, D. M.; Богданов, Алексей Георгиевич; Громушкин, Дмитрий Михайлович© 2021, Allerton Press, Inc.Abstract: The PRISMA-32 and URAN arrays were created as parts of the NEVOD Unique Scientific Facility (MEPhI) to study the neutron component of extensive air showers (EASes). The responses of the facilities to the passage of an EAS are modeled to correctly interpret the experimental data of the arrays. This allows determination of the lateral distribution function of the charged EAS component and the dependence of the average number of neutrons detected on the EAS size.

The module is based on six photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) with flat photocathodes Hamamatsu R877. We discuss the results of the photomultiplier testing, as well as the choice of the high-voltage divider providing the PMT dynamic range from 1 to 105 photoelectrons. The techniques for studying QSM-6M characteristics, as well as the results of the underwater testing of the module for an 18-month period are presented. We also present the results of the analysis of the QSM-6M response to single-muon and multiparticle events detected by the installations of the Experimental Complex NEVOD.
